IPTV buffering or freezing? How to fix it
Constant buffering is frustrating — but it's usually fixable. Here's how to work out whether it's your internet, your TV, or your provider, and what to do about each.
First, find out where the problem is
Does buffering happen on every channel, or just some? If only certain channels stutter while others are fine, the issue is your provider's server for those channels — not your setup. If everything buffers, it's more likely your connection or TV.
Improve your connection
Streaming live TV needs a steady connection. Where possible, connect your TV by Ethernet cable rather than Wi-Fi — it's dramatically more stable for streaming. If you must use Wi-Fi, move the router closer or reduce the number of devices using it at once.
Restart everything
Turn your TV fully off at the wall for 30 seconds, and restart your router. This clears memory and re-establishes a fresh connection, and resolves a surprising number of buffering issues.
Check your speed
As a rough guide you want at least 10–15 Mbps for smooth HD, and more for 4K. Run a speed test on a device connected to the same network. If it's far below what you pay for, the problem is your broadband, not BeePlayer.
Ask your provider about server load
If specific channels buffer at peak times (evenings, big matches), the provider's server is overloaded. A good provider will have multiple servers — ask if there's a closer or less busy line you can use.
